17APR2012 Abandoned America..... No longer in use the barns sit idle wasting away, a view of a simpler time? When these were built power had not yet reached this area, no nail guns or skill saws, hand power and oxen......a simpler time? Have a great day! Thanks for looking at my images!
31MAR2013 16APR2012 A Happy Easter to all! Holly Family Shrine....Gretna Nebraska With a few breaks in the clouds the torrents of rain stop briefly for this shot... the sky was boiling. Hand held single shot, with 50 MPH gusts! This storm goes on to Iowa and levels a town. Transcript Monday!

13APR2012 Easter Flags This Year... Our flag pole out on the front deck just after sunset. The busy street always has traffic too.....I try to keep the flags in the season we are in, spring is next! Our sparrow muncher stopped by at sunset last night for a little snack.He's four feet from the bird food but with his curved beak he can't pick it up so he waits for a small rat or bird to come by to feed. 11APR2012 The Iowa Sunset.... Looking out over a bluff into rural Iowa, thanks for all the comments on the barn yesterday, that barn is the only one like it in that area. The only other place I have seen that type is in Idaho I think it is a Bavarian or German type.
10APR2012 Little Red Barn Another barn from the trip to Iowa the other day. Foliage is just starting to bud out down in this valley. The hard freeze we had last night and tonight will stop most of the spring growth for a few weeks. Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

The Iowa Sunset....

Looking out over a bluff into rural Iowa, thanks for all the comments on the barn yesterday, that barn is the only one like it in that area. The only other place I have seen that type is in Idaho I think it is a Bavarian or German type.
