La Salle falls hides at the end of the road we thought was never going to end, so far into the woods the road narrowed down to the tree limbs rubbing the sides of the car. The hike to this waterfall was long, strenuous and filled with gunshots of bearhunters in the near distance, not a good place to be guiding people though the color was spectacular. Knee deep twenty feet out into the river this was the way it looked, my feet enjoyed the cold water.

Thanks for all the great comments on yesterday's pic, sometimes it doesn't matter what camera you take into the wild its so beautiful.
The road less traveled is the best one. Shortly it turns to gravel and puts you next to the rivers edge where the foliage lights up the viewfinder. Wisconsin, the road to Strong Falls.

Thanks for making yesterday's photo go to the front page and all the awesome comments!!!! Paul Sr.
Door County Wisconsin, the Newport Conifer Hardwoods area offered us up a top 100 barn of America, so the sign said out front. Hard to see when the crops are high they were just starting to harvest the field next to the barn. Foliage was at the peak here and we were blown away with the beauty of this great state, what a find for the barn portfolio. Thanks for the awesome comments everyone!!!!
Deep into badger country we are at Mc Clintock falls when i spot this bald eagle 200 yards out. We are as far into the woods as we get on this trip....so i am told. Wisconsin Rustic Road 32 was the best foliage in the whole state hands down, the falls are just a half mile off this road. America the beautifull happens here daily, many miles from civilization this is a must see spot. Traveling almost two thousand miles this trip we saw little wildlife, so when i spotted this eagle i ran to the car and got out the 400mm threw on the 2x converter and got four rounds off before it flew away. Before leaving Nebraska we maped out all the rustic roads of Wisconsin, specifically looking for fall foliage, the state becons with beauty on these roads, we found so many great photography opportunities on these roads we could have stayed for many days....
Vacation over.......Wisconsin.....again.....We got a lot a gruff and some would call it abuse from our midwest nieghbors on this trip, but let it be known we went into the badgers den with our Nebraska tags on the vehicle with big Nebraska stickers on the side of the vehicle and we always had on a Nebraska shirt or sweats. So the next few weeks i will get into the trip in detail.....four days in Wisconsin wilderness, the badgers den....Thanks for all the great comments

A stormy fourth of July weekend in Omaha...this storm took out our power for a few days, the folks across the street basking in air conditioning. Front yard seating area in independance attire. Thanks for all the great inspiration with your comments
